Recommended home theater components

Steve,

The theater link below is the kit we`d recommend for the theater stuff.

The whole house system has a couple of stumbling blocks that you`ll have to overcome as it stands.

I’m assuming you want to use dual voice coil speakers or stereo speakers that accept both left and right channels and play out of a single speaker like these: https://www.inwallstore.com/250.html

If you go wall mounted, typically the dual voice coil speakers are round and the depth is an issue with typical 2 x 4 construction…they may be too deep. The makers don`t really try to make them skinny as the ceilings don`t present any problem with depth issues.

As for outside, you can use any of our speakers as long as they are not getting direct rain water contact. And the best one’s for outside will have an aluminum grill as to not show the effects as much as a standard steel mesh grill. These here have the aluminum grills: https://www.inwallstore.com/jac6aii.html

> The 18` by 18` by 9` room is a theater/listening room. The five speakers in this room will be ceiling mounted and will be powered by an regular theater receiver, right now it looks like this will be a Pioneer VSX receiver.
>
> Moving on to the ABUS system. This system will provide background music to 6 or 7 other rooms in the house. My plan was to use a single dual-axial speaker in each room. This speaker would be wall mounted, just because I hate to cut so many holes in my ceiling all over the house. Right now i am getting ready to test a 6` kevlar Architech speaker for this application. (I should mention that 1 speaker will be mounted in a bathroom.)
>
> The third application will be in the front of the house and the rear of the house. Here again I want to use ABUS but I want to install the speakers in the sofits so we can listen while we sit on our patio or front porch. Here I guess I need weather rated speakers.
