Scott,
What I need to know is do I need a receiver
1. You need some type of amplifier for the whole system. Most times a receiver is fine for our applications, as they have all the switching between sources and amp capabilities built in.
What type of speakers should I use,
2. Typically, we sell 6 1/2″ versions (about 70% of what we sell). You`ll want to use ceiling speakers for `social` areas, where you walk around and want music `everywhere`. You`ll want wall speakers in places that you`ll be in one place most often and want that stereo `sweet spot` to enjoy the music, mostly offices, bedrooms, dens, etc.
Is there a certain grade of wire I should use to not lose anything from the receiver to the speakers
3. See here.
-what type of ventilation is required for the speakers
4. See here.
Should I ventilate the closet where the components will be
5. Definitely. You should set it up just like a bathroom…try to get the most quiet exhaust fan you can.
After I but from you could you provide me with installation instructions and what are my warranties
6. A great place for an installation overview is here and here.
Warranties vary from manufacturer, but if you notice on the site we have steered clear of most things electronic…if it weren’t for shipping companies we`d have an almost zero defective rate with speakers. We (Inwall) will generally replace anything that goes defective in the first year of service.

> Hello there. I am planning to put ceiling speakers into several rooms in my house. I had purchased a splitter from someone with no directions. I really am not too well informed with regards to home audio. I woulod rather make a purchase of the right equiptment and being well informed. I have a central location (a closet) in the house where I would like to have a reciver/control center for everything. I have a multi-disc cd player, and the multi speaker switcher module. What I need to know is do I need a reciver, what type of speakers should I use, do Ineed an amplifier, is there a certain grade of wire I should use to not lose anything from the reciever to the speakers, what type of ventilation is required for the speakers and should I ventilate the closet where the components will be, and after I but from you could you provide me with installation instructions and what are my warranties? Thank you.
