The pre-construction brackets did help layout of the framing, and building of back-boxes, because they are true to size. They are vacuum-formed, so nicely thin to fit behind the drywall, but oh-so flexible and floppy. The drywall rotary tool can easily cut right through them or pushes them out of the way. This is even having blocked them as rigidly into place as possible by stapling 2×4’s into the back-box interiors for support. So, yes, they did help, but I ended up measuring out and drawing cutout lines on the drywall to visually guide the tool as I traced around. I can only give them a 2-3 star for what they cost.
Cheap Garbage.
Inwallstore: EXACTLY! I don’t recommend them but offer them anyhow. The cost is in the shipping as they’re so bulky. See this: https://blog.inwallstore.com/do-i-need-a-rough-in-pre-construction-bracket-kit/
